• List the five practices of exemplary leadership
• Describe the behaviors associated with the five practices
• Define organizational change and its driving forces
• Describe the categories and types of change
• Explain Kotter’s 8-steps change management Process
• Discuss the development and implementation of a change management plan
• Recognize the reasons for which people resist change and explain how resistance should be managed.
• Understand the difficulty of changing organizational culture and discuss how managers can overcome these difficulties.
Success in leadership, success in work, and success in life are a function of how well people work and play together. Because leadership is a reciprocal process between leaders and their constituents, any discussion of leadership has to appreciate the dynamics of this relationship.
Regardless of the number, to emerge, grow, and thrive in these disquieting times, on and off campus, student leaders must master the dynamics of this relationship. They must learn how to mobilize others to want to struggle for shared aspiration
